Loy Luo's New York 2020 is an experimental short documentary film, which is based on Loy Luo's artistic creation, solo exhibition activities in New York City, as well as her interaction with the city and its people during the significant and special historical period of 2020. The film encapsulates the creation and life state of an artist living in a foreign country in the the epidemic.

In the film, the images of individuals, groups, living people and the dead are superimposed and integrated into the grand historical background by the method of collage. The extremely short time length and the extremely heavy historical subject matter, the small personal footprint and the human destiny in the flood collide with each other...

OMG! This is really really good. You made me cry. I already posted a short review on FB. I don't think writing a lot makes sense. The picture speaks for itself and people just have to watch it. The film uses personal reality to reflect the reality of The Times and not as deliberate as a special documentary film. It’s three-dimensional, not only the painting action, but also the life itself. There are several touching scenes in the video, such as Luo's revolving dance in the exhibition hall, as well as the disappearing picture of which Americans overlap with the portrait painted in the window of the building of New York towers. It presents a different camera language, but also gives us a real understanding of the bottom of life in the United States a state!
